From here on out we will try to do a brief weekly update on Pumpkin’s stats. First, to bring you up to speed we’ll do a quick rundown of what has happened so far. Almost all of Pumpkin’s vital organs (including heart, lungs, kidneys, and eyes) have nearly fully developed and will soon begin to function. The nervous system is fully in place and the brain is rapidly growing.
Week 11 Stats:
Length (from crown to rump): 1.5-2.0 inches (4+ cm)
Weight: 0.25 ounces (7 grams)
Fruit/Vegetable Comparison: Fig
New Developments: Fingers and toes are no longer webbed and nails are growing on them. Tooth buds are developing in the gums. The diaphragm is now beginning to develop and function, which may create hiccups that won’t be felt for at least another month.
